Claudia, this is a great question. However, given the nature of what we do as consultants, we haven't yet started preparing for this but would be very interested to see what other professionals and organizations are doing!

Hi Claudia, thank you. As a mater of fact, I did a post last week on my LinkedIn as to how we can utilize AI in the construction industry because AI can add lots of value if properly utilized on Construction Projects. Some of those benefits include:

1) Predictive Analytics: Using AI algorithms to forecast timelines, material requirements, and potential risks, optimizing planning and scheduling.

2) Computer Vision and Drones: AI-powered drones equipped with cameras to monitor construction sites, track progress, and identify safety hazards.

3) Generative Design: Create and optimize designs based on project requirements, site conditions, and material constraints, enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.

4) Quality Control: AI-powered systems to inspect materials, identify defects, and ensure compliance with building codes and standards.

5) Autonomous Equipment: Integrating AI into construction machinery for autonomous operation, improving efficiency and safety on site.

6) Supply Chain Management: Using AI to optimize supply chain logistics, predicting material needs, and streamlining procurement processes.

7) Smart Project Management: Leveraging AI-driven platforms for better project management, collaboration, and decision-making driven by data insights.
Agree with Rami's inputs. Would like to add that it could also help on standardizing contract conditions for various types of projects across industries.

Generative AI (GenAI) has captured the business world’s imagination in unprecedented ways in the last couple of years. The real challenge is about finding how volume and variety of data can be best used cost-effectively, with GenAI models for desired quality aligned with the business objectives.

HI Claudia, I am not currently involved in implementing AI but I see tremendous potential here. I work with clients on their most challenging and complex problems. This is where they could benefit from AI. I believe checklists, stakeholder lists, activity schedules, and other organizational data are rich resources to apply.
These may be the start of "checklists" to get implementation jump started. Of course, organizational change and acceptance will need to be addressed.

Hi Claudia, The push from the management every day is more and more to start using the AI. So we have committed to start analyzing in our Project Management activities in the company where the AI can start collaborating. There are still some areas where is not so evident but with trainings like this one is becoming much easier to identify these areas.

For integrating Generative AI into our workflows, below focused approach can be used:

1. Data Privacy and Security Checklist to ensure compliance and assess security measures.

2. Technology Integration Protocol for evaluating compatibility with existing systems.

3. Skills and Training Assessment to identify and address skill gaps related to Gen AI.

4. Ethical Guidelines Review to establish standards for responsible AI use.

5. ROI and Performance Metrics for measuring Gen AI integration impact.

6. Vendor Assessment Framework to select reliable and compliant AI tool providers.
I work In Data Centres and Infrastructure projects and operations , discussions on getting infrastructure ready for AI are ongoing in Africa we have not  done much yet  but already we sense the impact coming as this will put a strain on Cooling and Space requirements in data Centres , am curious to find out more on what our big shots in the Data Centre infrastructure industry are  planning or done  that is   the likes of google , Tesla etc /

Claudia, at present, we don’t have any checklists in our workflow for working with generative AI. But this is a great point you have made. We need to work towards this, which will help us establish processes and include improvements for the overall effectiveness of project management.
