Claudia, this is a great question. However, given the nature of what we do as consultants, we haven't yet started preparing for this but would be very interested to see what other professionals and organizations are doing!
My organization is new to GenAI applications. I, being a lead Project Manager have been saddled with the responsibility of gradually introducing the concept to our work system through training and retraining of project staff. Project Staff are eager to embrace the concept.

My organization has been using GPTs and other local LLMs, and they've helped streamline our workflows. I've also built a custom tool to strengthen our security controls. It's been pretty useful so far.

Hi Claudia, thank you. As a mater of fact, I did a post last week on my LinkedIn as to how we can utilize AI in the construction industry because AI can add lots of value if properly utilized on Construction Projects. Some of those benefits include:

1) Predictive Analytics: Using AI algorithms to forecast timelines, material requirements, and potential risks, optimizing planning and scheduling.

2) Computer Vision and Drones: AI-powered drones equipped with cameras to monitor construction sites, track progress, and identify safety hazards.

3) Generative Design: Create and optimize designs based on project requirements, site conditions, and material constraints, enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.

4) Quality Control: AI-powered systems to inspect materials, identify defects, and ensure compliance with building codes and standards.

5) Autonomous Equipment: Integrating AI into construction machinery for autonomous operation, improving efficiency and safety on site.

6) Supply Chain Management: Using AI to optimize supply chain logistics, predicting material needs, and streamlining procurement processes.

7) Smart Project Management: Leveraging AI-driven platforms for better project management, collaboration, and decision-making driven by data insights.
Your insights into AI’s role in construction projects resonate strongly with key Pmbok Guide knowledge areas—especially Risk, Quality, Procurement, and Integration Management. Although i'm curious and intrigued to learn how AI can be leveraged to enhance predictive analytics, quality control, and resource optimization. I’d love to learn more about how you’ve seen AI influence change management and team collaboration in your projects. Your experience is incredibly inspiring! Sent you a connection request on Linkedin, looking forward to connect, collaborate and learn from the GPM in BC.

We have not begun to us AI tools because of our government contracts and the cost of creating a custom tool.

There should be a general training for all staff and assessment done very well to assess the level of understanding. I believe before we can incorporate this for it to come in handy in the future, staff must be well vexed in the AI training under PMI
Thank you Claudia, for your question, as we all know context sholud always be place over the concept, in my field I didn't have the opportunity yet to use any specific checklists or protocols because in my position the need wasn't raised before but actually with the fast innovation and the need of continuously improve our product the question is more and more raised, I'll let you know the conclusion Asap.

There is a need of clear protocols within an organisation on the use of GenAI to ensure better productivity
Companies need to put in place such protocols and ensure staff are trained on how to use GenAI efficiently while preventing risk that may come through untrained staff
