Are you utilizing any specific checklists or protocols within your projects or company to assess your readiness for working with Generative AI data? I'm curious to know what strategies or tools you've implemented to prepare for integrating Gen AI into your workflows. Please share your approaches in the comments below!

It's a great question. Thanks, claudia for this brilliant thought. As a software product manager I'm considering a Custom GPT (Cloud-based Custom LLM) as one option to make sure our data is secured and to be honest the idea of creating a checklist is awesome I would like to prepare one for my team. Thanks.

Hi Claudia, my organization has not started preparing to assess our readiness for working with Generative AI but it's intersting to see what others have implemented throughout this discussion. I've just curiously tried testing AI tools to assess project risks with (RAIDlog.com, ChatGPT, and Perplexity). Very cool to see whats populated based on my input of project details.

I see a significant development as well as effort optimization through GenAI in the Identity & Access Management (IAM) domain however the traning the model takes considerable amount of time/effort/cost and not sure if enterprise's time/cost/scope aligns to work in parallel with the ongoing operations. Yes, GenAI is surely a food for thought and I believe it that it can surely reduce our InfoSecOps & ComplianceOps overhead if introduced and implemented with a scalable / reliable / secured GenAI model.

Thanks to claudia for triggering this thread and lot of friends & my PM community peers for adding invaluable insight into this loop. Appreciate you all and wishing you all, many smiles of success in your GenAI journey.

Using techniques similar to the OPM3 model, except replacing questions about project management with 'Generative AI', essentially. Does the organization recognize GenAI? Have any departments deployed AI techniques or applications? Do certain work environments necessitate Gen AI? And - as far as selecting the appropriate Gen AI tool - it's the same age old question: Build, Buy, or Outsource? Build a relationship with a publicly available model, Buy a SaaS subscription that isn't entirely what you need or may come with customizations you'll never use, or Outsource to a Cloud Based provider with exceedingly high security protocols and complete customization.

Our organization has just started preparing use cases for this but would be very interested to see what other professionals and organizations are doing!

While we haven't actively implemented any GenAi workflows, personally there are task where I utilize AI functions which are already built in on some tools I use. For example monday.com AI assistant can help review an prioritize task for available resources. I also use ChapGPT and CoPilot for certain task.

Currently, I have none, but I am really liking the discussion above.

I am not using it yet, but I see at least a dozen ways we can reduce the tedious and labor intensive project tasks. We have a lot of very large complex projects taking place in this region and these tools can position PMs and teams to navigate these projects more smoothly through some very volatile waters. This also means the Business Acumen and Power skills will top the chart for desired PM qualities.

Hi Claudia,

Thanks for asking this question. We are at the initial stages of learning and development from GEN AI perspective. Discussing & brainstorming about the checklists or protocols

Hi Claudia, thank you. As a mater of fact, I did a post last week on my LinkedIn as to how we can utilize AI in the construction industry because AI can add lots of value if properly utilized on Construction Projects. Some of those benefits include:

1) Predictive Analytics: Using AI algorithms to forecast timelines, material requirements, and potential risks, optimizing planning and scheduling.

2) Computer Vision and Drones: AI-powered drones equipped with cameras to monitor construction sites, track progress, and identify safety hazards.

3) Generative Design: Create and optimize designs based on project requirements, site conditions, and material constraints, enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.

4) Quality Control: AI-powered systems to inspect materials, identify defects, and ensure compliance with building codes and standards.

5) Autonomous Equipment: Integrating AI into construction machinery for autonomous operation, improving efficiency and safety on site.

6) Supply Chain Management: Using AI to optimize supply chain logistics, predicting material needs, and streamlining procurement processes.

7) Smart Project Management: Leveraging AI-driven platforms for better project management, collaboration, and decision-making driven by data insights.
Hi Claudia and all, Well I was thinking of using RAG in first place to slowly plug-in GenAI. Surely, it will not very complex (if our organization is already using any GPT). Let's say, enterprise specific big data (LL / SP sites / BluePrints / E-docs) could be added to existing GPT to train and can be helpful espeically for LLs. Not sure, if i could make a point on the query asked, but tried to share a start up approach towards GenAI.
