Hi,
I worked many years with an Enterprise telco in Budapest and we did not use any organized form of AI (GPT) in our "Lessons Learned" workflow. It has a definite function in such a workflow as I found after 24 years in SW project management that we often stumbled on the same issues time after time regardless of us performing mandatory lessons learned exercises at the end of each project.

We are just beginning to figure out the protocols for how our company can utilize AI, but I am very excited to try all these wonderful suggestions.

Claudia, this is a great question. However, given the nature of what we do as consultants, we haven't yet started preparing for this but would be very interested to see what other professionals and organizations are doing!

For some time now, I have been using AI in the management of my projects. However, I am training myself to use this tool more broadly in a responsible manner while also maximizing its utility.

In our company, we have implemented a practical approach to integrate generative AI into our projects. Here are our key strategies:

Preparation Checklist:

*Data Quality and Security: We ensure that the data is accurate, complete, and complies with GDPR regulations.
*Data Diversity: We use varied data to avoid biases.

Evaluation Protocols:

*Risk Assessment: We identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
*Validation Testing: We conduct exhaustive tests to validate the accuracy and effectiveness of generative models.

Tools and Technologies:

*AI Platforms: We use tools like Hugging Face and OpenAI to develop and train our models.
*Data Management: We implement Databricks for managing and processing large volumes of data.

Training and Development:

*Continuous Training: We offer training programs to keep our team updated with the latest trends and technologies in generative AI.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: We encourage collaboration between different departments to effectively integrate generative AI into our workflows.

Finally, I would like to mention a difficulty we have encountered along the way: the learning curve for some team members in adapting to new tools and technologies. However, with continuous training and support, we have managed to move forward.

Our organization is just getting started with AI so we have not developed any checklists or protocols yet. Maybe soon?

I’ve been using an AI-first approach for quite some time, particularly in the areas of automation and assistance. However, as a freelance project manager, it's crucial to assess GDPR and data security regulations before implementing this approach, as it can't be applied randomly to every project.

Hello everyone

I'm at a critical juncture in my career, where I'm striving to position myself as a change-maker by driving the adoption of Generative AI within my organization. Despite the significant potential that Generative AI holds for revolutionizing project management, I'm encountering resistance in convincing key stakeholders to integrate it into our existing workflows.

To effectively lead this transformation and capture the vast opportunities in both the GCC and North Africa regions, I need to build a robust understanding of how Generative AI can specifically enhance our project management processes. For instance, leveraging AI to automate routine tasks, such as scheduling and risk management, could free up our team's time for more strategic decision-making. Additionally, AI-driven data analysis could provide deeper insights into project performance, allowing for more proactive adjustments and ultimately leading to better project outcomes.

To prepare myself for this leadership role, I'm committed to immersing myself in every piece of relevant information about Generative AI in project management. I’m particularly interested in how these technologies have been successfully implemented in other organizations and the measurable impact they’ve had.

Could anyone recommend resources, courses, or case studies that could help me build a compelling case? I'm also curious if PMI or similar platforms offer discussions, webinars, or certifications that focus on integrating AI into project management workflows.

Your insights and advice would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this challenging yet exciting journey of driving digital transformation in our industry.

Hi Claudia,
This is a very useful question triggering mutual learning in this new but rapidly growing field. Because of the nature of the work we do, we don't yet make use of a defined checklist. Thanks all for the insightful interventions.

Good day, AI Community :).
I am in the middle of the course "Data Landscape of GenAI for Project Managers" and there is a request that I share my thoughts with your community by replying to Claudia's inquiry about any specific approach I am using for assessing my readiness for working with Generative AI data. I am currently inactive and do not work on any specific project. I cannot, therefore, contribute with any specific, real example.
For a future project at hand, with a specific need for data evaluation (not big data!), I would select a few projects of a similar nature, engineer a few prompts suitable for the type of evaluation the project would demand, and run them through a few LLM models. After refining the prompts a few times and comparing the outputs of the engines with standard "human-solved manual data evaluation" results, I should be able to come up with a strategy for generating an AI-assisted protocol for the evaluation of the data of a similar type. Positive results obtained with the help of this protocol should attest to my readiness to work with Generative AI data.

We are collecting training data to check if a GenAI approach is feasible for our tasks as we are dealing with unstructured data that must become structured with high reliability
