i am a PMI member planning to takeup PMP certification exam. As a PMI member may i know what aid/resources are available to study for the exam - all the education materrials etc
As a PMI member you do have free access to PDF copies of PMI's standards and practice guides - a few of these are relevant to the PMP exam as references. You also have access to this community where certification-related questions can be asked.
You should download the PMP Exam Content Outline and the Certification Handbook from PMI's website and review both thoroughly.
PMI does provide a PMP prep course and practice exam, however those are not free. You can also get similar resources from third-party vendors.

2. Practice Exams and Study Guides:
PMI offers practice exams that can help you familiarize yourself with the format and type of questions on the PMP exam.
You can also find study guides and handbooks that provide an overview of the exam content and tips for preparation.
3. PMI Publications:
Access to various digital publications and case studies that can provide additional insights into the practical application of project management principles.
4. PMI Standards Plus™:
A digital resource that provides access to content beyond what is available in the PMBOK® Guide, including how-to information, best practices, and real-world examples.
5. ProjectManagement.com:
Free access to ProjectManagement.com, where you can find articles, templates, webinars, and discussions related to project management. This site often has content specifically geared towards PMP exam preparation.

Balachandra, from my side, here is what I suggest you do:
1) Read through the Exam Content Outline (ECO), PMBOK 6th Edition (Including the Agile Extension as lots of questions are Agile / Hybrid based) and then read the PMBOK 7th edition.
2) Go through Rita Mulchay’s Exam Prep book, I think its 11th edition now, but double check. This is one of the best resources for exam preparation.
3) After you are done, purchase the Simulator Package through PM Prep Cast and practice as much as you can. This is a great simulator and resource for questions that mimic the real exam.
4) If you want a course to fulfill your 35 Hours then check Joseph Phillips on Udemy. He is a PMI ATP and great instructor or check out PMI's self-paced course in the PMI Store.
If you check my LinkedIn posts, you will see one for the PMI CAPM and PMP Prep and all those references with their links are there.
Let me know if you have further questions - Good Luck. Saving Changes...

Best of luck on your journey towards PMP! All of the above advice sounds good and, like most people recommended, study the PMBOK. In addition to studying the PMBOK, I subscribed to the “PMI Study Hall Plus”, available on PMI.org website. It does cost money, but at $79 for 3 months I felt it was a good deal. It has lessons, games (like flashcards and crosswords), targeted practice exams, mini practice exams, and full practice exams. I was able to pass my exam on the first try. Best of luck!
