Laura, with regards to your first question, there are several strategies for staying current with AI trends and acquiring the necessary skills in today's tech-driven world. A few of those strategies include:
1) Continuous Learning: Online courses, webinars, and workshops.
2) Professional Networking: Attend industry conferences, seminars, and networking events related to AI and technology.
3) AI Communities and Forums: Join AI communities and forums like GitHub, Stack Overflow, or specialized AI forums.
Regarding your second question, maybe providing recommendations for different AI Platforms and what value each platform provides can help. I know you have some recommendations in your free GenAI course so it will be nice to have those as part of the resources, if not already.

In regards to the second question, as Rami says, next step for me would be to provide more information about tools with their pros and cons BUT specifically for project management. In the Gen AI course there were ‘tools’ that most probably will never be used by a project manager, like GitHub copilot.

Laura,
continuous learning in such a fluid environment as AI means doing some exploration regularly, for example weekly. As some suggested, try out a new tool every week and PMI could recommend an AI tool of the week.
A more sophisticated way would be to look at a structure like the principles from PMBok7 or knowledge areas from PMBoK6 and fill a matrix of them with corresponding AI tools, enabling feedback on the tools by users.

I like this mindset and approach! Saving Changes...
I agree with Thomas that a structured learning path would be helpful. Whether I am coaching newer employees, tutoring physics, or teaching skiing, progressive learning plans are important to build on prior knowledge.
I experiment regularly with various PM related applications including AI, and one thing I find very helpful is relatable use cases. AI is often described at very high levels, but not at the working level. It's the same issue I saw with Citizen Developer. I watched multiple webinars that talk about it at a high level and much salesmanship on the wonders of the concept, but little in terms of specific use case examples. A community of practice to share success stories would go a long way to bridge the gap between the conceptual level, to tools we can apply at the user level. Saving Changes...

Dear Laura,
Staying current with AI trends and acquiring the necessary skills in this rapidly evolving field is crucial for project managers. As for feedback on PMI's dedicated AI Resource Center, here are some suggestions on what could be provided next and what might be missing from the current resources:
Suggestions for New Resources:
Case Studies and Real-World Examples:
Include more detailed case studies demonstrating how AI is being effectively integrated into project management across different industries. Real-world examples can provide practical insights and inspiration.
Interactive Learning Modules:
Develop interactive modules or simulations where project managers can use AI tools in a controlled learning environment. This hands-on approach can enhance understanding and skill acquisition.
Skill Development Guides:
Offer guides or pathways for developing specific AI-related skills relevant to project management, such as data analytics, machine learning basics, or using AI for risk management.
Expert Webinars and Panel Discussions:
Organize webinars or panel discussions featuring experts in AI and project management. These sessions could cover emerging trends, ethical considerations, and practical challenges.
AI Tool Reviews and Recommendations:
Provide reviews and recommendations of AI tools and software that benefit project managers. This could include comparisons, user experiences, and best use cases.
Identifying Gaps in Current Resources:
Ethical Implications of AI in Project Management:
While there may be resources on AI usage, more focus could be placed on the ethical implications and best practices for ethical AI deployment in projects.
Custom AI Solutions for Project Management:
Guidance on how to develop or customize AI solutions specifically for unique project management needs could be beneficial, especially for organizations looking to create bespoke solutions.
Regional and Industry-Specific AI Applications:
Include resources that address regional differences in AI adoption and specific challenges and opportunities in various industries.
AI Integration with Existing Project Management Tools:
Resources on integrating AI with popular project management tools and software could help managers streamline this process.
Community Forums and Peer Learning:
Establishing community forums or peer-to-peer learning platforms where project managers can share experiences, challenges, and solutions related to AI in project management.
Encouraging Continuous Feedback:
Surveys and Feedback Channels: Regularly conduct surveys or provide feedback channels for project managers to express their needs, experiences, and suggestions regarding AI resources.
Success Stories and User Contributions: Encourage users of the AI Resource Center to contribute their success stories or practical tips, creating a rich knowledge base.
Conclusion:
Enhancing PMI’s AI Resource Center with more interactive learning tools, real-world case studies, ethical guidance, industry-specific information, and community engagement opportunities can significantly benefit project managers. Regularly updating resources to reflect the latest AI advancements and encouraging active user feedback will help keep the resource center relevant and valuable.
