Corrective actions - Lock all leave, minimize overtime, appoint with no liability (EOS benefits). What else am I missing?

Amorette,

looks like working on the symptoms and pushing the team might get you into deeper trouble.

Identify the root causes (typically scope creep, supported by bad estimates) and tackle them, together with the client.
Team up with your people (get their insights and advice, involve them), be honest and transparent and ask for help.
Sit together with the client, they also have an interest in a smooth project, so they might be willing to support beyond the contract.

Amorette -

Thomas has nailed the criticality of identifying the root cause for the problem by leveraging the wisdom of your team and other close stakeholders. The only thing I'd add is to review the contract to identify any opportunities for improvement within its terms & conditions and to also be aware of the constraints it will impose on any fixes you and the team come up with.

Amorette, I totally agree with Kiron and Thomas. I can’t emphasize enough the importance of getting to the root cause than dealing with the symptoms.

I’ve worked in Qatar for 7 years and I know how challenging it can be.

What do you mean by lock leave?

Dear Amorette
The topic you brought to our reflection and debate is very interesting.

Thanks for sharing

It appears that the project is completely out of control

I subscribe to the opinions of Thomas, Kiron and Rami: Identify the root cause of the problem

Should you also consider replacing the project manager?
