Note to site admins: I have noticed a couple of changes which negatively impact the discussion board site performance.
The first is that the text boxes can no longer be stretched to show more text at once. That is very inconvenient for editing posts other than writing them in a word processor and then pasting into the text box.
The second is that your editor plugin for Firefox has started occasionally inserting <br type=_moz> into posts which is a well known Mozilla issue with text editors heavily based on paragraphs. Saving Changes...

Keith, this is interesting feedback. I didn't notice the second one.
Regarding the first observation, not sure I am clear on what the issue is, can you please elaborate? I tried to type a big pargraph and the box expanded, is this what you meant?

Yes, on multiple computers I have tried using Firefox and I verified on one PC using Microsoft Edge. The text entry box is now a fixed size where once there were lines in a corner where you could stretch the box to see the entire post.
I suspect it is related to other site changes I have noticed. I have only encountered the unintentional code insertion once but even when I edited my post to delete it, the text reappeared once re-posted.

Seems like with all the changes that are happening to the platform, there are some glitches occurring - Its like a side effect of enhancements :-)

Hi Keith Novak! Thanks for letting us know about the issue you're experiencing. One question before we send this off to our development team; when did you notice the new behavior? Was it around the launch of the new @ mentions feature? Appreciate the feedback!

I have that Firefox issue too for a couple of times. Editing the post doesn't help.

It certainly wouldn't be the firs time I have seen a software update that came with unexpected "features".

Hi Heather,
Yes I started noticing the text box issue within about the last week so it lines up pretty well with when the @ feature was rolled out. I didn't notice the random code until a couple days ago but it's an intermittent error that I'm starting to see more. That's when I realized something had changed and it probably wasn't just my own computer. There's one from another poster in the "Recent Questions" sidebar right now.

Heather McLarnon: I noticed one more thing: When you have a typo, it doesn't give you option to correct when you right click. Before, it used to give you options to correct the typo when you right click.

I came back to add the same as Rami. That one is probably the most frustrating. My spelling is atrocious and even worse when not wearing reading glasses. I depend on that little squiggly red line and spelling suggestions to make me seem halfway literate.

Im in the same camp as you, Keith. The red line still appears but no suggestions or any action when you right click!
