I am looking at ways of using Gen AI in my daily tasks. I see a lot of potential but haven't yet figured out how to do the integration itself. Unfortunately, because of privacy concerns, there are company concerns over the use of Gen AI and allowing employees to freely use it.

My current drive is to get the company to allow the AI plugins for various approved applications. Having an AI plugin for word that expands on the grammar and spell-checking functionalities would be great. It is available, but my company hasn't enabled it yet. There are similar plugins for other applications that our company uses that would aid in the integration.

Hi Robert, I think many profesionales have the same concerns. Have you heard about BYOAI? It refers to employees using any form of external AI service to accomplish company-related tasks, regardless of whether it is approved by the business, “bring-your-own-AI (BYOAI) in the enterprise” and I think this is one of CEO’s main concerns.

Having recently taken a good course which expanded not just my comfort with prompts but also my understanding of common use cases, I'm primarily using AI tools to explore and connect the dots on concepts which I could likely find via a search engine but where it would take much longer to do so.

Yeah, our security team is locking down most Gen AI platforms due to risks of people putting in non public data. Fortunately they are leaving open PMI's Project Infinity because it is specifically for Project Managers. That allows me to take advantage of Gen AI for now, but having it integrated with our PPM would make everything even easier.

Thank you, Robert! happy to read that they trust PMI´s Infinity. Have you seen our recently launched GPT PMP Exam Simulator? if you have GPT 4 this is one in a series of products that a project manager will find useful in their daily tasks.

I encounter the same security issues as Robert. At companies where protecting data is a major concern, even search engines and maintaining network connections encounter serious issues so the data AI tools have to work with is very limited. On the other hand, most of my day-to-day work is not actually answering ponderous questions or optimizing highly complex problems. It is primarily communication and relatively straightforward data analysis.

I do use a variety of tools to help me create rough drafts of communications, or editing much like asking a colleague to collaborate with writing. On the more technical side, I do find myself using much more Gen AI to find and use the advanced functions already built into professional software. I still have to use the functions manually, but AI based chat-bots help me find and then use the functions much more easily than web searches and reading long threads on forums.

In the pharmaceutical industry, the integration of Gen AI has proven to be a valuable asset for our business operations, particularly within the intricate regulatory landscape. Our Business Tech Solution team has introduced LLM AI models, which I actively utilize in my daily tasks to analyze extensive medical data and extract valuable insights. These models efficiently process electronic health records, medical literature, and patient data, uncovering complex patterns and associations that may have been overlooked. LLM AI plays a crucial role in predicting disease outbreaks, identifying at-risk patients, and suggesting preventive measures. Looking ahead, I foresee the deployment of LLMs within the healthcare sector to identify potential health issues, generate treatment plans, and recommend medications. This technological advancement will greatly enhance our ability to navigate the complexities of the pharmaceutical landscape.

This is an amazing experience Success! Thank you for sharing it. I think that although the human intervention in your sector will still be decisive, Gen AI can help a lot in the process.

The security concern is why I've been hesitant to use AI in any capacity. The use of AI for simple admin tasks has also not been convincing enough to integrate into the rather cluttered tech stack. AI is poised to revolutionize project management by helping us detect risks during execution, detection of future project plan deviations based on gradual scope creep, etc. That's a long ways away, but hope the existing AI hype doesn't fizzle out before we get there.

https://bard.google.com/ - I often use googles version of genai which gives me compiled content or kind of index with all first hand information on different areas of customer problems to research which i then use as baseline to delve deep into every line item and make presentation covering all areas. Saves at least 2-3 hours of time
