What are the consequences (from the perspective of project management and the role of the Project Manager) of the introduction of technology to support the creation of digital twins? Saving Changes...
It should increase the potential of simulating outcomes before they are actually implemented which should help from a change management perspective. I view digital twins as a natural successor to the use of personas.

Dear Kiron Thank you for participating in this reflection In your opinion, is the role of digital twins really that small?
1) Your project relies heavily on Systems Engineering expertise in systems modeling such as SysML to develop and/or manage the twin.
2) Unless you have an existing digital twin, you must develop one early enough in the project where it may be used to evaluate potential outcomes so that what you learn can be integrated into the project plan as opposed to learning what you could have done better as a retrospective.

Definitely not - that is just one of the more compelling use cases which comes to mind. They can be used through all stages of the lifecycle and would help to reduce quality concerns, improve stakeholder engagement and similarly address other common risks.

Not at all. The value of the digital may far outlast the physical twin. If you were to consider a digital twin of a car for example, that car may be destroyed in verification testing or in a crash by the end user. The digital twin is still 100% operational to analyze what happened to the physical twin.
