Can anyone recommend a PMP exam boot camp? I took the course and took the exam before my application expired.  I took the exam and failed . I was devasted that I failed, but I found out I could get an extension to retake the exam.  I got an extra 90 days to take the exam for my current application.  I am faced with taking the exam soon, but I want to take a BootCamp before I retake the exam. If there is a BootCamp that I can attend in Illinois or online, that would be helpful.

Kristina -

Have you reviewed the online exam analysis report which is available through your myPMI dashboard and will provide you with more details about which specific tasks within the domains you had trouble with as that might help you decide whether another course is really needed or just focused studying within a few topic areas?

If you still find a course is required, I'd first suggest contacting your local PMI chapter to find out if they are going to hold any prep courses over the next month or so.

Kristina, I do fully agree with Kiron's feedback. One more thing I recommend is practicing as many simulation exam questions as possible. PM PrepCast is a great resource for simulation exams that do somehow mimic the real exam and you will learn a lot from them. I personally believe that at this point, practice might be more beneficial for you than taking a bootcamp. You can review you Exam Analysis Report and concentrate on areas where you scored lowest. Good Luck!

Dear Kristina,

I just can second what Kiron and Rami already mentioned.

First of al you need to figure out what makes most sense for you!

The Tip regarding the PMP Exam Simulator by Rami is just precious and goes in the right direction, also from my point of view.

However, if you still feel the need for a boot camp/online (self-learning) course (with the latter one, you might be able to focus on the videos/content that your results analysis marks as the fields that need improvement), please do not hesitate to reach out. I can provide a few reasonable resources, but unfortunately, it is not allowed to post other than PMI-related links in the forum.

In any case all the best for your exam re-taking. You can do it!

BR,

Markus

Hi Kristina,
I don't want to sound like a broken record, but Kiron and Rami gave excellent advice. Also look into Andrew Ramadyl. I took his prep in addition to my own studying and passed on the first time above target in all 3 categories. His prep really helped. You have to remember that it is the frame of mind that helps you pass the exam.
