Hi, greetings from Costa Rica! I've started using AI about 8 months ago and have been making adjustments as I understand it a little better every day. But in general terms, I've focused on addressing these areas:

Anything mechanical and repetitive is a process I can automate or at least support with AI. Not all clients have been willing to embrace AI involvement.

Anything involving document creation or minutes, I've begun to store it in audio or image format and then apply an AI process for transcription or summarization. This is where I've seen a lot of added value because from an analysis or meeting video, I can generate a document of use cases with a specific format, thus obtaining a deliverable that is used to facilitate analysis, design, or client counterpart teams.

For the rest of the areas related to monitoring and tracking, I find that relying on GPTs is becoming enjoyable.

I've created agents or bots to facilitate the induction of new personnel into the team. I've created bots that act as trainers for end-users, and I've created bots to review source code and adhere to standards.

I am in the initial stages of using AI. However I have experienced some benefits in the generation of meeting notes and action lists etc. As I have just started, I have not much to add now. Interesting to learn from those who have commented based on their usage of AI

We have started exploring the power of Generative AI, but we also know we need to tread slow here, of course, with a human in the loop as mentioned before.

One of the challenges I've come across personally in using Generative AI for my day-to-day work is that, Generative AI does answer your queries but in a very generic way. Each project is unique, and has specific requirements that aren't generic to many other projects. Generative AI just generalizes the output content and does not give answers specific to my situation. I see that as a stepping stone to maybe ask questions in a more refined way, or review the outcomes first before making use of the outcome as is.

The other challenge I currently face is, there are tons of options out there that I can use to get what I want, but there is no standard that can tell me which option is better than the rest for a specific requirement. I currently do not have a solution to this yet, but what I do is evaluate the outcomes of few options asking them the very same question, and manually evaluate them to pick and choose the one.

It has helped me create presentations much faster. It has helped me tremendously when I have had writer's block, trying to craft ideas or write a communication and tailor it to a specific audience. Our team is currently trying to develop prompts to make it easier for our team and other leaders in the org do capacity planning and resource management. We are also trying to work out how to automate some of our intake processes. It really is a huge timesaver. It also is a great help when I want to brainstorm ideas.

On personal level, it has increasing efficiency and improving quality of documentation. It is great tool while conducting research online since it can provide summaries or point out more accurate subset of information.

I've used it a lot and I'm always on the lookout for new developments in the world of A.I. I'm currently working on an IT service governance project and generative has helped me a lot to develop policies that are more appropriate to the context, analyse large volumes of data and generate valuable insights. It's important for us as project managers to realise that there are a multitude of tools to support different sectors. As an example, I can cite Artificial Intelligence tools that enter meetings and automatically compile all the minutes with a full transcript (in minutes). This is a huge step forward, and if we take advantage of it, we'll reach the highest levels of efficiency.

AI provides an external view that is very challenging and time consuming to gain on my own. It helps me shape and jump start a product launch by better understanding my target audience (avatar), their challenges, competition, pricing, and deployment strategy.
