Have you experienced wonderful, potentially unexpected successes using Generative AI in your projects?

I'm eager to hear about the innovative outcomes you've achieved with Gen AI, and how data played a role in these ventures.

What challenges did you encounter, and what benefits did you realize in this process?

I have only used generative AI to produce training products of a generic nature. Foundations of project management for non-project managers, etc. It was a fair start (like having an intern begin it as a training exercise that also yields a starting-point). Generated a decent start on the slide deck for me. No hallucinations, although some elements were sort of "plugged together" in a less intuitive fashion.

I've used it a lot and I'm always on the lookout for new developments in the world of A.I. I'm currently working on an IT service governance project and generative has helped me a lot to develop policies that are more appropriate to the context, analyse large volumes of data and generate valuable insights. It's important for us as project managers to realise that there are a multitude of tools to support different sectors. As an example, I can cite Artificial Intelligence tools that enter meetings and automatically compile all the minutes with a full transcript (in minutes). This is a huge step forward, and if we take advantage of it, we'll reach the highest levels of efficiency.
MS Teams has a GenAI feature that generates meeting minutes, tasks as part of the meeting recap, in addition to a transcript.

Adobe Acrobat also has a feature where you can upload meeting transcripts and ask it to summarize for you.

Dear Claudia Alcelay,

While I can share personal successes with Generative AI tools, I'd love to discuss a trend I believe is transforming construction project scheduling: the power of AI.
Cloud-based scheduling software offers core functionalities and a user-friendly interface, but integrating AI tools like GenAI can unlock significant benefits:

1. Advanced risk prediction: Identify potential delays and bottlenecks before they happen, improving project preparedness.

2. Optimization capabilities: Adjust schedules and resource allocation for improved efficiency, leading to cost savings and faster project completion.

3. Robust and adaptable environment: Respond effectively to changing circumstances and ensure project success through real-time adjustments.

This hybrid approach combining cloud-based software with AI presents a promising future for construction project management.

Best regards,
Golam Rob

I have been using AI to help me find improvement items based on a structured team assessment using Excel. It works well and gave me some insights I didn't think about.

Me too Ming, I am learning a lot in this and other AI-related threads: how companies are buying synthetic data, how they are using it for user acceptance testing, on a personal basis... I am sure that if you want to implement any of these experiences in your company our community will be eager to help you. Please share your experience if you enter the Gen AI.
I have just started personally using AI, and is proofing be very helpful, albeit still being learning.
At organisational level, no we are not using, and I could identify need for specialist IT personnel recruitment or consultants to assist since we are not a tech company.

I am in the process of implementing this same use case (i.e., lessons learned consolidation/ analysis) within my organization and looking to take it one step further by creating some sort of centralized repository where anyone within the PMO or key stakeholders can easily access and query suggested actions based on type of project, line of business, technology applications impacted etc. As previously mentioned by Pascal and a few other folks here, because of privacy and compliance concerns, I would be looking to leverage internally approved AI tool set like Microsoft's co-pilot which is part of the Microsoft product suite. License negotiations are currently in progress.

This is all new to me so I don't have anything to add regarding success.
