I've used it a lot and I'm always on the lookout for new developments in the world of A.I. I'm currently working on an IT service governance project and generative has helped me a lot to develop policies that are more appropriate to the context, analyse large volumes of data and generate valuable insights. It's important for us as project managers to realise that there are a multitude of tools to support different sectors. As an example, I can cite Artificial Intelligence tools that enter meetings and automatically compile all the minutes with a full transcript (in minutes). This is a huge step forward, and if we take advantage of it, we'll reach the highest levels of efficiency.
Thank you for sharing Luis Fernando. I completely agree, we need to know that there are lots of tools for us and be ready to explore them. Saving Changes...
I have been using Generative AI for a little bit. It has proven to be very helpful for simple tasks, like taking meeting minutes (allowing me to focus and drive the conversation where I want it to go!), as well as composing more detailed Change Orders (where I will jot down the main bullets of what I want and have the Gen AI do some of the heavy lifting). Also had some success with a proof of concept to use Generative AI to analyze project lessons learned.
Where I had challenges, were in using ChatGPT for math. While it proved very good at helping me help my son with his Grade 11 math homework, it failed miserably when trying to use it to crunch test result data and provide repeatability results for that data. I had it compete with one of my engineers on a project and my engineer SMOKED Chat GPT! :)

Hi Pascal, thank you for sharing your experiences. I am always told that Chat GPT is not good at maths :-) The cases that you have described are relevant mainly for many project managers who do not know where to start from. Thank you

Not used it on projects as such but am keen to learn. Was worth going through the comments above and its interesting to see the usage in Brainstorming, taking meeting minutes, doing UAT. I also tend to agree that Generative AI makes things easier for decision making but the final choice and actions remain human. Saving Changes...
The development of virtual assistants, assistance with code production, and even medical text analysis have all benefited from the use of generative AI. Its adaptability can be shown in its capacity to replicate real-world situations for training. In order to guarantee that generative AI remains a useful and responsible tool across a range of applications, it is imperative that, even as we celebrate these achievements, we also recognize the ongoing work to address ethical issues, such as bias reduction and responsible use. What successes have you experienced with Generative AI?
Generative AI seems to be unavoidable for the success of the future projects. We need to explore and deploy. Saving Changes...
I wanted to share an interesting experience I had with Generative AI that really opened my eyes to its potential. After struggling to tailor my resume for different job applications, I decided to leverage AI's power to create unique resumes for each job description. Over time, this led to a considerable collection of distinctive resumes, each finely tuned to specific roles.
Seeing the value in what I had accumulated, I took it a step further. I compiled all these resumes into a single file and set out to build my own version of a PMI Infinity type ChatGPT. The result was nothing short of amazing. Now, whenever I need to apply for a new position, I simply input the job description into my AI system, and it crafts a perfectly tailored resume for me, ensuring it's ATS compliant and matches the job requirements exactly.
This journey into data analytics and Generative AI has been filled with learning and unexpected successes. It's been a game-changer in how I approach job applications, significantly reducing the time and effort required on my part while increasing my success rate.
However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. One of the challenges I faced was ensuring the AI understood the nuances of different job descriptions and could accurately reflect relevant experiences from my vast resume collection. It took some tweaking and learning on my part, but the benefits have been immense, not just in terms of efficiency but also in the quality of applications I'm now able to submit.
I'm curious to hear if anyone else has had similar experiences or found innovative uses for Generative AI in their professional or personal projects!

thank you for this comment. You put on the table the challenges people and organizations has to face when using generative AI. In my actual workplace we are using it for lot of things internally and in initiatives in our clients then is not trivial or easy to get results with an acceptable or expected grade of confidence.

Really interesting Harmeet, the reference to a non easy process highlights all those nuances you refer to which make each experience personal and targeted to your needs. Training models to understand the context is the next stage.

I`m passing a risk management module as an MSC project management student. Yesterday, we had a task to identify all the risks of a family trip from the USA to Cardiff, for instance, as a project. I just gave the right prompt to the GenAI and got a lovely visualized file containing all the different risk categories, such as strategic, financial, and environmental. Thanks to the Gen for helping me out with the task.
