Thank you for sharing. I still not get it. I hope by the end of this course, I will be able to understand and use AI.

So far AI has been able to speed up the generation of policies needed on a policy governance project we are introducing to kick off the InfoSec Program Initiatives in 26. Some other successful outcomes include the re-purposing data from powerpoint presentations for cybersecurity into calendars for a cyber-awareness campaign we kicked off just in time in October.

I used ChatGPT to summarize the insights from this board discussion into clear bullet points, key takeaways, and a concise conclusion. The consolidated feedback is excellent.

Generative AI has far exceeded my expectations. When I first experimented with earlier models, the experience felt tedious and limited. But as the technology has evolved, it’s become an integral part of my day-to-day work as a project manager.

Due to organizational restrictions, I primarily use it as a virtual assistant—helping me stay on top of communications across multiple projects and contractors. I’ve also found it invaluable for brainstorming, problem solving, risk mitigation planning, and researching for strategic initiatives.

The biggest challenge has been navigating institutional apprehension around adoption. I see tremendous potential to leverage generative AI not just for administrative efficiency, but for deeper, more substantive aspects of our work. Through this, I’ve learned how essential it is for leadership to remain open to innovation and forward-thinking—so we don’t get left behind.

Thank you for sharing Kyle. Gen AI in the initial phases of a project can be a good "friend". In my case Gen AI is helpful when I am in a creative process and I need extra inputs.
Agreed, Claudia, I think the generative elements of AI can be useful for the brainstorming process but ultimately you need to consider the ethical implications of the tech.

I am new to generative AI. My agency also provide additional AI tools. Many data are confidential an not to share outside. How do I go about to apply PMI Generative AI in secure enterprise customization?

Hi Claudia, interestingly the small construction company I work for has attempted to create Lessons Learned for the projects so that we can implement it in future startups. We encountered several issues, primarily that lessons learned data was not structured the same for the projects, so massaging the data was a cumbersome effort before we could even start with AI. Moving forward, we will create templates for the lessons learned data, as well as including basic information such as size, type, location, customer, contractors, etc to that we can extract more specific recommendations using the Gen AI. Looking forward to testing this soon. Thanks!

I needed to classify UAT bugs and production defects in order to create a Fish-Bone diagram. AI helped me with classifying the bugs/defects.
