Hello everyone, I'm in search of guidance regarding the creation of policies and procedures for a Project Management Office (PMO). Any suggestions or insights on how to initiate this process would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, I'm curious if there are any sample forms or documents available that I could study to better understand the proper structure and content for this type of documentation

Thank you in advance for your help

A lot depends on the mandate for the PMO and the initial set of capabilities or services it will provide. It also depends on the current level of organizational PM maturity and how much change you are looking to introduce in the near term.

For example, with an organization which has no PM standards in place, a starting point might be a basic PM policy specifying things such as what constitutes a project.

You could search in the Templates section of this community for samples, but also it is common for some national government websites to provide their PM standards and procedures.
