I have read, here in the community, great dissertations on ethics, principles, etc...etc...
PMI will stop publishing "PMI fact files"
Do you consider that the removal of this information from the community could be interpreted as a lack of transparency?
Do as I say...don't do as I do

Curiously...
The latest annual report dates back to 2021
https://www.pmi.org/about
Is it just a coincidence?

Laura Coscarelli Oh, United States

Luis Branco - I appreciate you getting the conversation going about the recent retirement of File Facts on projectmanagement.com.

As we planned for the retirement of File Facts it was important to us as a community team to provide early notice to our most engaged community members who have regularly posted/commented/read the File Facts to make sure they were the first ones to be aware of the change, which is why Kimberly Whitby, Online Community Engagement Specialist, reached out to you and several other community members to let you know ahead of time in order to create space to collect feedback ahead of the change.

As a result of that outreach our team received feedback that Kimberly was able to pass on to the appropriate internal teams, like Certifications, as we all work to continuously improve the experience of our PMI community.

The discussion forums remain an important channel for us to learn about how we can better serve you all and as a next step, as the Manager of the Online Community, I'm following up 1:1 with each of you today to learn more about how we can improve your experience and create more opportunities for feedback and collaboration.

For example, in 2024 we're going to be launching an Online Community Champions Program, led by Laura Schofield, so we can have more formalized opportunities to capture your feedback as we enhance the discussion forum experience on projectmanagement.com (hope this gets your excitement going even more Rami Kaibni!)

Please keep the conversation going in the thread below so we can continue to learn from you and George Freeman, thank you for your diligent research on the Annual Reports, just one of the ways that PMI puts transparency into action.

Laura Coscarelli: Thanks for the updates, appreciate it. I am always excited about what PMI has to offer and I am confident you will do what is in the best interest of the community and its members. Again, please take my comments as "Constructive Feedback", not "Criticizim" because I do care about this community and PMI as an organization.

The engagement specialists of this online community Heather McLarnon, Kimberly Whitby, Laura Schofield, and you included, are doing a great job and go above and beyond. I've been engaging with Laura, Heather and Kimberly for years now and I can't speak enough about how amazing they are, professional and passionate about this community!

My comment regarding engagement with the community has more to do with the Global Organization feel of community engagement than within this community platform.

Feel free to reach out to me 1:1 and will be happy to provide further feedback, if needed.

Dear Laura
Thank you for participating in this exchange of opinions
In my opinion, no change in this community can justify the suppression of information relevant to its members

Do you know what my interpretation is regarding the elimination of the "PMI Fact Files" (I believe that was not the intention, but full of good intentions...)

Can you tell us a little more about this program:
"Online Community Champions Program"?

We have already had the experience of ending up with (despite negative reaction from members), "PMI Influence Score"
Promising significant changes in the community, introducing the initiative of the "Community Ambassadors" which, as you know, was a real flop.

Have you reset the "PMI Influence Score"?

Dear Laura
I haven't read the email you're referring to yet.
It surprises me that (the same thing happened the other times) you want to resolve issues by email
The conversation began publicly and it is public that it must continue
The conversation began with an arbitrary and unilateral decision to end with information to members about the PMI Fact Files
Transparency, for me, is not negotiable in the same way that the PMI Principles are not
What I want to read here, publicly, is the commitment (no matter how much it costs you) that you will maintain the PMI Fact Files here in the community or in any other place that we members can consult

It occurs to me to ask you:
- What is the mission of the community support staff
