Are you interested in volunteering for PMI’s online community on ProjectManagement.com as an Online Community Champion, or formalizing the contributions you're already making in the discussion forums?

Apply to our new Online Community Champion volunteer opportunity!

As an Online Community Champion you will:

- Start meaningful discussions and ensure that posts receive a response in the discussion forums on ProjectManagement.com
- Suggest ways to improve the discussion forum experience to PMI's Online Community Engagement and Product teams
- Additional details on the role and responsibilities provided in the VEP posting linked below.

Why are we launching this volunteer opportunity?

- To formally recognize and reward the contributions that so many of you are already making here in the discussion forums on ProjectManagement.com.
- To broaden the range of voices and experiences of the contributors in our discussion forums; we will start the first cohort with 20-30 Champions in spring 2024, with the goal of growing the number of volunteer Champions over many years to come.
- To capture your feedback on how to improve the discussion forum platform, in partnership with our product team.

Next steps:

- The volunteer opportunity is now open for applications in PMI’s Volunteer Engagement Platform (VEP). In VEP, you can find more information about the role, responsibilities, and requirements and submit an application: https://volunteer.pmi.org/OpportunityView/OpportunityView/?opId=44203&volunteerView=true
- We will accept applications until 31 Jan 2024 with the initiative kicking-off on 1 March 2024; there will be additional opportunities to apply on a rolling basis after the initial cohort launches this spring.

Questions?

- Post here to me (@ Laura Schofield) - the Online Community Engagement Specialist managing the Online Community Champions volunteers.

Jeffrey Bowe thanks for your interest! We are not currently recruiting for this volunteer opportunity - the new volunteer initiative will kick-off on 1 March with the first group of Online Community Champions. However, we do intend to expand the initiative in the future, so I will certainly keep you updated when we have another open opportunity in VEP. Stay tuned!

Alright, so I am too late for the title of Community Champion, but I'm ready to unleash my inner rockstar and belt out "WE ARE THE CHAMPION" like it's nobody's business! I don't need any fancy title when I've got a squad of project management buddies by my side. So, buckle up, my buddies, because we're about to march into the project battle together, drums pounding and project plans flying! I can still contribute as a lone soldier with the wonderful community here.
