What advice would you give someone who wants to start working as a PM in the realm of AI?  What are some of the things they can do to prepare themselves for that transition?  Best courses or webinars?

While self-learning through courses or hands-on experimentation will certainly be of some value, you might get a better bang-for-the-buck by shadowing a PM who is working on an AI project.

It might also help to narrow the scope of your research to a specific type of AI project - for example, a project focused on machine learning might be quite different than one leveraging Gen AI tools.

Shadowing a PM in this field would be amazing! Even just sitting down for a chat too

Jennifer, definitely shadowing a PM in this regards would be beneficial and at the same time I highly recommend you do familiarize yourself with some AI platforms that you believe you will be utilizing within your new role.

It really depends on your starting point. Having a background in data analytics and computer science is very different than having experience solely with the front end user interface.
