An emerging technology AI will play the vital role in Project Management.
AI based Project Management tool will drastically improve the productivity/progress and will have major role in cost estimation with very low order of magnitude and provide cost estimate with a much higher degree of confidence.
There will be a strong Projects Data Bank.
Data analysis based on projects data bank will provide the strong understanding of expected or forecast project cost from archived projects.
This will also pull the lesson learned and post mortem of the archived projects for project managers to plan and foresee potential risks.
This will also transform and cutomize the project framework, procedures ,tools & techniques, forms and templates.

Alejandro, Ive recently written a post on LinkedIn about the benefits of utilizing AI in the Construction Industry and many of those benefits do apply to many other industries. Some of those benefits include:
1) Predictive Analytics: Using AI algorithms to forecast timelines, material requirements, and potential risks, optimizing planning and scheduling.
2) Computer Vision and Drones: AI-powered drones equipped with cameras to monitor construction sites, track progress, and identify safety hazards.
3) Generative Design: Create and optimize designs based on project requirements, site conditions, and material constraints, enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.
4) Quality Control: AI-powered systems to inspect materials, identify defects, and ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
5) Autonomous Equipment: Integrating AI into construction machinery for autonomous operation, improving efficiency and safety on site.
6) Supply Chain Management: Using AI to optimize supply chain logistics, predicting material needs, and streamlining procurement processes.
7) Smart Project Management: Leveraging AI-driven platforms for better project management, collaboration, and decision-making driven by data insights.

First of all, let me say that project managers are using AI from long time ago (more than 30 years) and perhaps they do not know it. Project manager tools have AI inside it from long time ago. Second, let me say that there is a great course in PMI about generative AI and project management. That´s the point. AI becomes a new buzzword because the marketing created by generative AI, while generative AI is outside there from 70´s but it becomes popular when Google publish their paper with the new architecture called transformers and few companies have the enough money to invest in the needed technology.
