How would you go about implementing a governance framework in place via a tool/solution across the business?

A recently updated governance framework has been established for a 300 staff business (non-profit & education sector). Keen to hear your thoughts on what tools/solutions out there can have a standardised tool to show one (any stakeholder) where they are in a project, what to expect, foresee in navigating through a project's journey right from start/initiation of a project until closure.  Many thanks in advance!

Sukhdeep -

There are a number of EPM tools which can provide stakeholders with different levels of detail about a set of projects. Planview, Clarity and Microsoft's enterprise PM suite are just a few such examples.

The harder challenge is in ensuring that there is consistent data entry and updates so that the dashboards can be trusted. Such solutions tend to be designed to be simple for senior leaders to consume data but are often quite onerous for teams to enter or update data.

The tool is just a mean to support the process. Remember that this is a matter of architecture where three key components has to be taking into account: process, tool, people. So, I can put here a list of the tools I have to use along the years. Today, from time ago, I am using MS Azue DevOps and recently Jira Align. Both works well for the defined process we defined in three different firms: manufacturing, banking, consulting.
