My team would like to quickly record weekly what they have spent time on by percentage with the categories being completely arbitrary. Currently no analysis is needed.
Example:
Chris Gaskett Week 1 2024
60% Banana bending project
20% Hardware repairs
20% Trip to Abulakulta
Can you suggest a website or software tool for this?

Chris -

Depending on the size of the team, you could even work with a shared Excel workbook for this. The bigger issue is the quality of the data captured and what staff perceive it might be used for. Ideally, actuals are captured as the work is done so if team members wait till the end of each week to record the time, it is likely to be inaccurate especially when they work on multiple projects or initiatives.

Thanks Kiron. We are trying Excel for this. It's a start toward understanding how our time is spent and deciding what we want to track in the future.
