In my experience, the words issues and risks generate a positive alert for the project, however, they generate a negative environment in the project team, as a project manager and facilitator in frequent situations I have had to look for kinder words to indicate an undesirable situation in the project. , and to be able to provoke better involvement of interested parties. use “attend” or priority” for an issue presented indicating the consequence or “take advantage”, “provoke” for a positive issue, “to mitigate”, “have in focus”, “remember” for risks:

Just use risk and issues and doing coaching or training to help people to understand. They are living with that in they personal life too. Just what I think and I do.

I agree with Sergio - this is a good coaching moment for key stakeholders. Just because we don't like to talk about risks doesn't mean they can't be realized and hurt us and our projects.

An unwillingness to speak openly about risks or issues might be indicative of a lower organizational project management maturity and is worth spending effort on in trying to influence.
