I'm not clear on what assumptions you are looking for. There are facts such as:

- the quality of the data and guidance provided to AI will affect the quality of the predictions
- qualified subject matter experts are crucial to getting value

Risks related to the use of AI have been well discussed in this forum over the past six months and include concerns such as loss of intellectual property, biased decisions and hallucinations.

Kiron,

I appreciate your insights. To clarify, I'm referring to assumptions about the future role of AI in data gathering and decision making. For instance, one assumption could be that AI algorithms will increasingly drive decision-making processes, potentially diminishing the need for traditional project management roles. This assumption parallels the paradoxical scenario depicted in "2001: A Space Odyssey" where HAL 9000, an AI, assumes control over critical decisions aboard the spacecraft, leading to unintended consequences. This raises questions about the evolving role of project managers in AI-dominated environments and the associated risks of relinquishing decision-making authority to AI systems.

When it comes to AI, you get what you give so if you feed the platform quality data, you will receive quality analytics. As for decision making, as of now, there is no role in AI for this as the ultimate decision maker is and should always be the PM or person in charge.
