WBS is an important part of the planning process since it provides a visual map of hierarchical decomposition of a project, based on its phases, or its deliverables. ¿What is your preferred software to create a WBS, and why have you selected it? ¿Do you use features to import or export information to other software? Veronica, in my opinion, the best software or tools are those that are easy to use, require less time to set up, and ultimately meet your needs. However, when working on projects with other team members and stakeholders, it's important to use a format that is accessible to everyone and allows easy collaboration. Depending on the project, a certain type of schedule format may be required, which may not be just a personal preference or choice. Personally, I have used Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Asta PowerProject to create WBS and schedule development. However, exporting and importing between different software can be challenging, as there is no perfect conversion tool available as far as I'm aware. Happy to discuss further.

Surely importing and exporting WBS information between applications is a functionality very important. For this operation, I like WBS add-ins for Microsoft Project that allow to export the information to Visio, or an Excel Workbook
I use a simple spread sheet with a template created by PMI. Then I reflect the tasks created into the ASANA software. Yet, the excel sheet might be enough
It's good to take advantage of templates provided by PMI, and also control the tasks with a Software Platform like ASANA. Saving Changes...

Popular tools for creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) include Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Lucidchart, MindManager, and WBS Schedule Pro. Other options like Trello, ClickUp, and Miro also help visualize tasks hierarchically for effective project planning and team collaboration.
