Thank you Rami Kaibni for the warm wishes! The PMISA Women Engagement Committee (WEC) truly outdid themselves with an extraordinary session to commemorate International Women's Day 2024. It was nothing short of amazing, and I'm grateful to have been part of such a fantastic celebration!

Thanks for this Rami!!
Right now, for far too any years, women in schools of academics, for Science, Engineering, and Medicine have suffered mental and physical harassment as they try to complete their education.
Cheers,
Bill
p.s. I have been aware of this since 2017 and have sent info to newspapers, TV hosts, and engineering societies. Their silence is deafening. Saving Changes...
That's a great question to ponder Rami Kaibni . At times, I pause and think, what's the need for a Women's Day? Why single out a community? Is it to encourage women/appreciate women or keep harping on the fact that "such a day is needed for such a section of society" to uplift them, etc? I would like to think that its the former. There shouldn't be a "single day" for such noble events...encouragement, and appreciation should be a part of day-to-day communication! Am I right?
My way of celebrating Women's Day would be to call out those women who are, in a way, "unsung heroes" of their families. They work and try to build a future for their families and themselves, quite oblivious to the amount of work and effort they are putting in. They may not be in the limelight and never get there. Yet they deserve that recognition, and we, as a society, ought to give them what they deserve.
Thx
