Hello there! Can anyone share what's been the toughest PM question you have been asked during an interview? Which is the most common "checklist" a company uses to prove you're a good PM? Tha

I have grown within the PM world under my own structure, I have actually made a career in it because that has been my path since I graduate but now I'll be formally interviewed as a PM so I need to refine key aspects of my answers and wanted to know your opinion!

There are no tough PM questions because the only (always) correct answer to any PM question is "it depends" :-)

Seriously though, I'd expect you should prepare for scenario-type interviews and the hardest or at least most stressful form of those are ones where you are required to role-play as a PM in a made up case study. For example, you are the PM of a project which is running behind schedule and the variance cannot be resolved. You need to present options to your sponsor and to your client (both of who are played by the interviewers). They would give you the background on the case study and some time to prepare and you'd then need to present to them.

Paulina, I echo Kiron's response and totally agree with it. He didn't leave much room for me to add much except that, besides scenario-based role play questions, you might be also asked about the value you believe you can add to the organization so you might be asked questions like:

How can you add value to the organization?
Why do you think you're a good fit for this role?

In a recent interview, the last question was, "What is the most important lesson you have learned in your career?"

Perhaps you have one moment in your career where suddenly everything came into focus but I found it difficult to try and think of the one most important experience in my professional career since my most important skills have developed over an entire career.
