Quite honestly, this is a very vague open-ended question. It is possible to do a schedule using AI but you have to be more specific as to what your concern is exactly about in order to focus our answer on that. Thanks!

As mentioned, it can, but as things currently stand, it could be more work if you need to do more than just display a schedule one time.

- You have to enter in the details for GenAI to use to create the schedule
- Once GenAI creates the schedule, you'll have to paste the data into another application if you want to be able to manipulate it or modify the schedule.
- You'll have to remind GenAI of the details to work with it in a future session.

What would be really powerful would be a GenAI interface that remembers project information and allows you to directly interact with the responses. Today, it's more of a command line interface. I'm looking forward to seeing what a GenAI GUI would look like and how it would function differently than a project management app.

Microsoft seems to think so. Copilot for Project will generate task plans based on user inputs like descriptions, start and end dates.

Could it? Yes. Is it advisable? Likely not as you aren't reaping the benefits of building a network diagram and schedule with the team - harnessing the collective wisdom of the group and getting their buy-in as well as having the knowledge to then be able to walk stakeholders through the project's timelines with confidence from end-to-end.

You can. And you will have the possibility to make enhacement on it. Take into account some things: 1-There are different tools to do that, from ChatGPT free of use version to plugins to ChatGPT (and others generative AI tools) that will allow you connect MS Project to generative AI.
2-You can use Microsoft Co Pilot for doing that too.
3-No matter what you use take into account that prompt (the answer) format is critical to get the expected result.
As always is said in AI world "human in the loop" is always needed to validate what you get from generative AI.

So there are 2 questions:
1. Is generating schedule with AI possible? - Yes
2. How does scheduling really work? - Scheduling helps you in planning and organizing activities or tasks to be completed within a certain timeframe.
