Online Community Champions are a group of volunteers who:
- Start meaningful discussions and ensure that posts receive a response in the discussion forums on ProjectManagement.com
- Provide community members with help and support as they interact and engage with one another
- Suggest ways to improve the discussion forum experience to PMI's Online Community and Product teams
You can identify these volunteers by the "Community Champion" label next to their name. They're here to help you get the most out of the ProjectManagement.com discussion forums!

Thanks for the introduction Laura Schofield - Glad to be part of the first group of Community Champions. Giving back to the community and profession is a noble thing to do! Saving Changes...
My reasons for volunteering are to help other PMs to work through similar challenges to the ones I faced earlier in my career.

Hi Markus - at this point, we are looking to onboard the next cohort of Online Community Champions in Q3 (September timeframe). We will be following the same process of posting the volunteer role to PMI's Volunteer Engagement Platform (VEP); applications will be accepted in VEP.
I'll be posting updates to Community Central as we get closer, and the volunteer opportunity is opened in VEP later in the year.

I might be late for the first round, but it didn't stop me from sharing in the community without any formal title. I may not be the community champion, but I can still share why I volunteer in PMI's online community accordingly. Initially, I was thinking of continuous learning by participating in PMchallenge. After I received all the relevant badges, I decided to collect some other badges that I thought were possible. It really motivated me to continue to share and participate in the community. Somehow, it's like a "community badges project", where I can release my passion in a fun and engaging way. I'm not sure how long I can keep my fire in the community, but I've really enjoyed the time here so far. Thank you for the amazing community!

I am honoured to be part of this group. Sharing expertise is one of my favourite things to do, and I will be happy to connect with anyone requiring assistance. I may not always have the answers you are looking for, but if not, I will try to point you in the right direction. Connecting is easy. Just post in the discussions area, and all of the Community Champions will see it, and respond if they feel they have the knowledge to help. Often you will get more then one answer from a few of us.
