Nice quote! I am giving an example related to carrer growth in line with it : Say a Project Manager ( PM) would like to become a Delivery Manager ( DM) in 5-7 years, he should then set the S.M.A.R.T goals: Specific—gain certifications like CAPM, PMP, and PMI-ACP to validate skills. Measurable—lead diverse projects to build a versatile portfolio. Achievable—expand professional network through industry events for opportunities. Relevant—pursue continuous learning to stay ahead in project management trends. Time-bound—seek leadership roles, aiming to manage the cross-functional teams within the set timeframe. Each step becomes a milestone towards the planned goal of becoming a DM.
