Artificial intelligence (AI) being the latest trend nowadays in field of IT, there are many roles in an organization which will be replaced by AI. Please share your opinion on whether AI can replace project/ product/ program managers? Or if not replacement, whether AI will reduce the dependency of a project/ product on managers? This topic has been discussed a few times in this community since ChatGPT launched a year and a half ago.
The short answer is "no". Projects scope is completed by human beings and human beings don't like being led by machines.
However, project analyst or coordinator-type roles which primarily perform administrative activities are more likely to be impacted by AI capabilities as those improve.

You will have to trust AI a lot in order to replace PM professionals, and if these project managers know how to use it in THEIR OWN JOB better than a IT worker, then he/she doesn't need to worry about getting replaced. The consequences and the risks on relying only in AI are creepy and give me anxiety if I'm thinking like a entrepeneur. Saving Changes...
