It does cast a shadow on the human creativity and precludes the imagination of human mind. The rapid expansion and growth of AI is definitely a boon for the world , however we as humans should endeavour to go beyond AI and not merely keep relying on AI .

Developing AI calls for the spark of creativity.
Generating ideas alongside AI is a dance of creative minds.
Running a project is an orchestra of creative solutions.
Creativity flows and transforms, an irreplaceable essence, as long as our minds stay engaged.

The explosion is with generative AI, one new model. But AI is outside there from long time ago. Including it, most of the people are using it without notice that in places like refrigerators (fuzzy logic). For example, it was used inside Apollo 11 to put a man in the moon. It is an interesting question. In my opinion, and what I lived along the years of working with this type of things, it helps to human creativity. Why? Because AI helps to make models and testing ideas quickly. Just my opinion.

I'd argue that AI can assist the creative process providing the ability to explore multiple potential paths rapidly before committing to one. If it is viewed as an accelerator rather than a replacement, it can add a lot of value.

I do fully agree with Kiron. I do see it the exact same way and I am talking from personal experience.

I think AI as a discipline itself offers avenues for creativity. Outside of those who are building these algorithms, for the average user, it is important to distinguish between classical AI and generative AI. Classical AI, assuming it is done right, should generally not curb creativity in any way. Generative AI, although not always, could have the potential of hampering creativity at times, especially when people start using it to write "creative" texts like stories. Yes, some may argue that creating prompts for such things is them still being creative, but is it the same thing as coming up with an original idea and writing it by pouring your soul into it?
