While I understand that there are volunteers known as 'Online Community Champions' who act on behalf of the staff to engage the community, may I suggest something similar to the 'Microsoft Most Valuable Professional' (MVP) for participants who are not volunteers but constantly contribute to the community in a meaningful way? These participants help answer questions and participate in healthy or constructive discussions. With this, we can encourage more people not only to actively engage in volunteering to manage community discussions but also to actively contribute to more meaningful discussions.
In addition to badges, we can also introduce a 'PMI Most Valuable Participant (MVP)' title. This person might not be a subject matter expert, but they showcase leadership or other soft skills that a project manager should possess. They contribute to the community in meaningful ways, such as offering constructive arguments to challenge new ideas or providing useful study tips and encouragement to candidates who have failed certifications. Perhaps these participants haven't applied for any volunteer titles, but we can still show appreciation for their impact by passionately sharing their opinions, knowledge, or experiences with the community through a token of recognition.
It was removed a couple of years ago, but there did used to be a similar type of recognition in this community (visible in the More - Headliners table). I forget if it was called Influencer or something similar but it did evaluate overall contribution within projectmanagement.com.
Rami and I were quite distressed when it was removed and not replaced with anything equivalent or better...

Kiron Bondale , thanks for the clarification. If something similar has been implemented before, i guess there might be a reason behind its removal. Anyway, I appreciate the reply. Both you and Rami Kaibni are definitely our PMI community MVP !!

Danny, thanks for your kind words.
I think you touch up on a very important topic and I do agree with Kiron, they had something similar in the past called "Influence Score" and we were really distressed when it was suddenly retired and never replaced because it used to show the overall individual contribution and influence on certain areas of expertise for each member which was really cool. I still do advocate for this and hope they do re-establish this feature in the near future. Saving Changes...

Hi Danny Seow ! Thank you so much for starting this conversation and sharing your thoughts. I am a newer member to the PMI community team and a big project I will be kicking off in the next month is reviewing our gamification strategy. The most important part of this process will be gathering feedback from community users like yourself. I am early in my research phase and once I have a more established plan of action I will be sharing it with both the Community Champions (like Rami Kaibni and Kiron Bondale ) as well as the larger community. It is important to the PMI Team that we consider as many voices as possible and create a badging and point system that resonates and inspires this already vibrant community.
Please keep an eye out for my call for feedback (likely in the form of both a survey and virtual conversation) in the coming month or so. My goal is to have a formal kick off by the end of May at the latest.
Thank you again for being a critical member of this community and I look forward to getting your ideas and feedback in the near future!

Jenny, glad to hear that. Thanks for the update! Saving Changes...
Jenny Morse , it's wonderful to hear about the ongoing improvements being made for the community. I sincerely appreciate all those efforts. Meanwhile, while gamification is something interesting, it is also important to provide visibility to the participants. So far, during the journey of badges, I've found that visibility is not clear. For example, information such as how many badges are left to reach another stage is important. Do you think we can do anything about it? Rami Kaibni & Kiron Bondale , thank you for always engaging with us. It's greatly appreciated!
