yes. ask ChatGPT. it has all the data up to 2022 as far as I know. It is the same than if you make the job to search for the data in all source of data existing in the whole world.

Hello Sergio, this is exactly what I did. And he gave me high level percentages for both completed on time and on bugdet. I asked for the sources and he refered to PMI and Standish CHAOS reports. But then when I went to this sources, I could not find where it came from. It is important for me to be able to quote concretely the source and from Chat GTP answer, I cannot unfortunately.

Hello Vanessa. That´s one of the problems with generative Ai (chatGPT for example). What you did is what people has to do when it it is used in organizations. validation truth is the name. In my experience, if you change the prompt formats you will get the answers after 3 or 4 intents. chatGPT keep the context as you see. But I am not a "fan" of chatGPT. Just I answered you in this way because I am highly involved in creating this type of environments in my actual work place and our customers making some tasks like programming and because for the things you are asking for chatGPT help me a lot. Just if you like continue using chatGPT my recommendation is making some search regarding prompt engineering to see different prompt formats, just in case you did not do that.

You are right, and I appreciate your support: This is the answer about the sources:

As an AI language model, I don't have direct access to external sources, so I can't provide precise citations or URLs. However, you can find relevant statistics and benchmarks on project completion rates and cost adherence by consulting industry reports, research papers, and surveys conducted by organizations such as the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Standish Group, and various consulting firms specializing in project management and IT.

I recommend searching for reports and studies published by these organizations, as well as academic journals that focus on project management and IT, to find the most credible and up-to-date information on project performance metrics.

I have found a great McKinsey paper on IT Projects performance and benchmarks, I will leave it there in case any PMIer is interested: https://www.mckinsey.com/industries/public...tor-it-projects
Thanks! And have a nice day!

My suggestion would be to look at the reports from industry research groups such as Gartner as they are likely to dive deeper and provide richer metrics than you'd get through other sources.
