CEO CERTIFICATION

If PMI does not currently offer CEO certifications, I would appreciate any information on plans or initiatives to introduce such certifications in the future. I believe that a PMI-backed CEO certification would hold significant value and credibility in the business world, and I would be honored to be among the first to pursue it.

Amjad, I believe PMI is more focused on industry specific credentials more than role specific credentials. On the other hand, organizations like IPMA do offer role specific credentials for senior positions but not CEO. Honestly, for a an executive position like a CEO, experience is all what matters and not sure if a credential specific to this role would add much value.

Amjad -

PMI is already diversified beyond what it should be resulting in some dilution of its core offerings. I'd question whether PMI is the right organization for this and would also question the benefit of a CEO certification as boards are unlikely to use that as a determining factor to decide who to hire as a CEO but are more likely to look at the individual's track record as a C-level executive in other organizations.

Maybe this isn't directly related to the CEO role, but I definitely see the benefits of exploring more about PfMP, especially since it's designed for an executive or senior-level practitioner managing a portfolio of projects and programs.
