It is important to consider how AI can be used in project management processes, particularly in the waterfall approach and construction industry

Rami Kaibni is a subject matter expert who is quite familiar with the construction industry. Maybe he can help to answer this.

Muhammad -

GenAI tools such as PMI Infinity or the public ChatGPT instance can easily generate a set of draft activities based on your providing sufficient context about a project. Of course, these are guesses so they are likely to be somewhat generic.

What gets trickier is when it gets into subsequent activities such as estimating effort & duration, sequencing the activities and determining the appropriate skill sets required.

While a GenAI tool might be able to guess at those, by doing so you are losing out on the multiple benefits of leveraging the wisdom of your team and other stakeholders.

Muhammad, while PMI Infinity and ChatGPT are great tools, I don't think they are at a level where they can generate project specific scheduling data and list of project activities. I personally would recommend using Oracle Primavera which utilizes AI and machine learning algorithms for project scheduling, resources optimization and risk analysis.
