Eric, Emotional Intelligence plays a pivotal role when influencing others especially when you're dealing with multiple multi-cultural teams. Some of the projects I used to manage where mega projects and multi-cultural and influencing / managing different teams was challenging because you have to wear multiple leadership hats (i.e. change your leadership style multiple times a day). For some teams, my leadership style was supportive, others directive and so on. The receipe for success in such environment is to have an adaptive servant leadership style!

Absolutely Rami, the ability to adapt your leadership style to the needs of a diverse team is indeed the hallmark of a servant leader, and it's impressive how emotional intelligence has guided you in navigating the complexities of multi-cultural project management. Your experience really underscores the value of flexibility and cultural awareness in leadership.

As Rami mentioned, it is essential to taylor the leadership model to each team and individual.
For example, I have witnessed managers "leading" senior underlings with a directive approach, leading to dissatisfaction from both sides.
Regardless of the approach used, it is important to never forget that these individuals (let's avoid calling them resources) are people, not machines.

Thanks Eduard and you make an excellent point about the importance of recognizing the human element in leadership, especially in diverse and complex project environments. Tailoring leadership styles to meet the needs of each team member not only enhances satisfaction but also fosters a more engaged and productive team dynamic. Your emphasis on treating team members as individuals, rather than merely as resources, is a crucial reminder for all leaders striving for true effectiveness and respect in their roles.
