Hi All -
The project managers in our organization manage and facilitate the resource scheduling for our implementations. Our leadership team is tasked with assigning the correct/appropriate resource for the project, and the project manager (individual contributor) creates/facilitates/monitors and schedules workshops for the customer based on the assigned resource's availability.
My question is this - are there any easy to use scheduling tools that will promote more efficient 'traffic' management/scheduling support such that project managers can easily share with a customer an assigned resource's availability? Saving Changes...

Margaret, there are a few popular platforms/softwares to help you streamline resource management and scheduling: Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, and Monday.com.
Primavera is another great option but its a bit more complex to use than the other ones. We use P6 on our projects. Saving Changes...
The challenge with any capacity management tools is garbage in, garbage out. All it takes is one functional manager not keeping their team's info up to date or one PM not updating their schedules with revised forecasts for the info to be unreliable.
And, where you have shared staff between projects, without building in buffers between assignments, it is really easy for a delay in one project to have a cascading effect on many others.
Depending on the size of the pool of talent and the number of projects, MS Excel might even suffice, otherwise a true scheduling tool such as MS Project would be worth considering.
