NEW MS Planner

What are your thoughts on the app enhancements? I've been combing through the MS forums and they are generally negative. I've only used MS Project and don't have much experience with Planner. Any feedback is appreciated.

I'm new to Planner and have to agree with the negative comments on the forum. Planner is great at some things, easy to use, ties right into Teams. Oddly, though, we can't get ours to update the Team channel with any update to tasks. There is also no task dependencies and no way to "see" across Teams to other Planners to get a big picture of work being delivered. Milestones are also something missing if you use those. I started using Planner back in early March and the new Planner was released a few weeks after so I am not familiar enough with it to tell what if anything changed at all. Other than the logo. I just posted something in this forum about Planner and Azure Devops integration to get around some of these issues with Planner. Might want to check the post out if anyone replies.

App enhancements can be hit or miss, right? When I was trying out updates on a different software—it sparked mixed reactions in the community. It's like when I started using a notepad to keep track of project notes; some features were spot-on, others needed tweaking. Maybe jot down your thoughts in a similar way to see what works best for you. Your experience with MS Project might give you a unique perspective on Planner's changes.
