First of all AI is a boarder term. We are surrounded of AI entities from more than 40 years ago including it the use inside tools project/program/portfolio managers are using in your daily work sometimes without being aware on that. The key thing is generative AI which is a subset of AI. So, because of the new model of generative AI (it was published by Google in 2017) the role of program/project/portfolio manager are obsolete in terms of who it was originally defined. I thing the PMI is aware on that. Just take a look to the 3 layers model propose by the PMI
