Hi,
Within the last 8 years I worked as Scrum Master for various Product Development Team. Does that experience count for the PMP Exam?

Peter, if you were doing project management activities on a day to day basis as part of your SM role, then I believe it does qualify. Eligibility has more to do with what you do day to day than what your job post name is.

Peter -

While there are certainly some PM responsibilities in the role of an SM, there are some activities which wouldn't usually fall within that role's scope such as procurement management or cost management. You could certainly use some of the experience hours from those roles, but you might run into issues with an audit if you don't have coverage of all PMBOK knowledge areas to a certain degree.

Thanks for the feedback. For me the PM activities within the Scrum Master role were always depending on the team setup and the way of working within the organization.
