So the quiz on page 15 in the 1st module left me lacking. This is the one where Chien is slowing down, and there are 3 options:
A - Coach Chien on how he and the team might get past the current roadblock by providing some additional training.
B - Ask the team if anyone else is struggling with their workload or the increasing complexity of the project to find some help for Chien.
C - Start making a record of the late...<omitted for brevity>
I picked B, but A appeared better to the quiz meister. What's bothering me is the following:
Picking B still allows room to engage training, it just informs who else may also benefit. It also encourages team dialog, volunteerism, etc. It's unclear when the next retrospective is happening, and it doesn't say we need to mention Chen's name at that moment of inquiry with the team.
So, B feel like a more strategic and collaborative approach (ie. "Super")

Rob, we would be able to evaluate the answers better if we knew what the exact situation was: Is Chien the Team Leader? Are you the Scrum Master? What exactly happened?
That said, it looks like Chien, an individual, is slowing down and you are concerned about his performance. In this situation, I would chose Option A as the correct answer because while option B encourages team dialogue and support to everyone, yet, it may be perceived as indirectly addressing the issue without providing a specific solution for Chien's struggles. Option A directly addresses Chien's situation, provides training as an immediate solution.
In the real-world, a combination of approaches or a tailored solution based on the unique circumstances may often be the best course of action but in this case, ultimately, the correct answer may vary depending on the specific goals, values, and priorities of the organization or team in question.
