Adam, the exam consists of 120 questions and the total duration is 230 minutes. Majority of the exam questions are scenario based and it is on the same level of difficulty as that of the PMP, if not harder so my advise is to have a deep understanding of all concepts. Good Luck!

My dear Rami,

My Career Summary:
With 25 years of experience in construction infrastructure projects, acquired in Bangladesh and the Middle East, I have worked in various capacities. This includes 15 years dedicated to work planning, execution, and quality control for roads, buildings, and infrastructure projects. Additionally, I have 10 years of experience in project management consultancy services (PMC) for civil engineering infrastructure EPC projects, all within multicultural environments. I am currently preparing for the PMI CP exam. Could you provide some high-level tips? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Warm regards,
Golam Rob

Golam, I already provided high-level advise in ny comment to adam. The current exam is concentrated around four courses only which makes it easier for candidates. The four courses content should be enough but you need to deeply understand all concepts and my advise is avoid memorization. Good Luck!

Hi, I took the previous exam format, which covered the seven courses. As Rami wrote, most questions were scenario-based; some were more complicated because there may be more than one correct answer, so choose the most accurate one. You can find some mock-up exam questions on Udemy (search for "PMI-CP Practice Tests"). The questions on these practice tests were more like simple knowledge tests, similar to the course quizzes, and were not representative of the actual exam, but I gained some confidence in my knowledge. Again, if you choose to take these practice tests, please be aware that the questions are not the same as those on the exam. When taking the exam, make sure to carefully read each question and choose the best answer. Wishing you success.

Adding to Rami's and Jonathan's replies, I'd suggest you schedule to take the exam as soon as you complete your online courses while the course contents are still fresh in your mind/brain. Take note as you progress through your courses and review the course summary as your exam guide. Do not forget to look at the Exam Content Outline (ECO). Best of luck!
