AI cannot replace Project Managers, because AI needs a lot of information to make decisions, and in VUCA environments, decisions often have to be made with little information.

Venkata -

This is a somewhat rhetorical question if taken literally - if they have been replaced by AI, that IS the impact they will have experienced. However, as I have stated multiple times in this community, AI tools will not be able to fully replace the role of a PM unless and until human beings are willing to be led by machines.

AI is a boarder term. We are using AI in project management from long time ago. Perhaps 40 years. If you are talking about generative Ai then project/program/portfolio managers roles will disappear in the way we know today or the way that was originally defined. I think the PMI is aware on that. Just take a look to PMI´s free courses mainly the 3 layer model.
