Hello everyone,
I am seeking for advise as this is my first approach to project management. What would you think might be the best way to start in this fascinating nwe world for me. And also, would you think that being 58 years old might be an obstacle?
Kind regards

Alberto, age is never an obstacle for learning and/or venturing into the project management world. More than 70% of what we do is related to our soft interpersonal skills and those are transferrable from one field to another so I believe your prior work expertise equiped you solid soft skills over the years.

In terms of where to start, I would start by earning the CAPM credential from PMI (the value is in the journey of earning the credential). First step is taking a PM Course (I recommend Joseph Phillips coureses on Udemy for CAPM exam prep) and then take it from there. This will provide you with the basic knowledge in the project management world. Hope this helps!

I'd also recommend looking at getting experience in parallel with the learning options which Rami has presented so you can practice what you are learning. If you can't get those in your current role, look for volunteer opportunities with a not-for-profit association or a local PMI chapter.
