GenAI: When crafting prompts for AI, what key considerations come to mind to anticipate effective results?

Prompt patterns come to mind. There are different ways to ask questions that can improve your results for specific situations. The course from Vanderbilt University does a good job of breaking down the patterns - too much to mention here.

There are some guidelines and patterns. However, I start with explaining the situation in details and then ask the main question. Based on the answer, I add more details or clarify the misunderstandings.

the key is to understand prompt design, which is a new discipline. Search inside the internet and you will find prompt frameworks to understand how to prompt to generative AI entities to obtain the expected results.
