Hi, I am interested in teaching PMP to the aspirants. Hence would like to have some guidance. I hold PMP now and no specific Agile certifications. Is it mandatory to have Agile certifications for becoming instructor. Saving Changes...
It depends whether you are referring to working for a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP) delivering PMI's PMP prep courses OR whether you intend to join a non-ATP training company or work as a solo instructor.
In the former case, you'd need an active PMP certification and the ATP you join would have you take PMI's one day adult learning/train-the-trainer online course once they have qualified that you are a competent instructor. So in this case, no agile certs are required.
In the latter case, it really depends on what the non-ATP company you join has as its expectations.
Thanks for the details. I did not reach out to any ATP or non-ATP Centers. I thought that the Instructor badge is required to approach them. Please recommend the next steps I can take in this regard. Should I reach out to some Centers to take this forward.

Hi Abdul,
I am a trainer for Bluetellura that is PMI-ATP and you could take the free eligible evaluation below to check your eligibility. Bluetellura will heløp you to be a trainer if you are eligible. See the link below:
You need to decide whether you wish to teach for an ATP using the PMI PMP prep materials or not. Once you do that, you can then approach either a local ATP or a non-ATP provider.
Thanks for this insight.
I have achieved my instructor qualification recently and received my badge. How do I proceed from there? I am a bit lost. Any guidance?

Daniel -
You'd need to either form your own company and join the ATP program or (the better approach) be hired by an existing ATP organization.
Thanks for this insight.

I am an Authorized Training Partner (ATP) premium and you have be a PMP trainer through my ATP if you are PMP certified. Send me a message on LinkedIn to proceed:
It depends on your aspirations. Being a certified vocational trainer is a plus. Now if you need to be a Certified PM trainer you need to find a training institution that is authorized by the PMI to provide training. Saving Changes...
