Negotiation

How would you negotiate your salary if:
1. you are newly certified as a PMP
2. you never had the PM title, but did the work
3. you never negotiated a salary before

Felicia, whether you’re a newly certified PMP, never had a PM title or negotiated a salary before, you need to always:

1) Do market research and know your value.
2) Document your experience because it is what will speak for the employer, not the certifications.
3) Understand the organization’s compensation structure.
