Despite the fact that NLP techniques have significantly enhanced the conversational capabilities of AI, achieving truly human-like interactions remains a challenge due to limitations in understanding, reasoning, bias, and emotional intelligence. Research are ongoing to address these issues and improve AI, striving for more natural and meaningful human-AI conversations.
In my perspective, some limitations are as follows:
Lack of Genuine Understanding by AI models as they sometimes lack deep comprehension of context and meaning, leading to superficial conversations or unrelated answers.
Limited Reasoning because AI struggles with tasks requiring deep reasoning or common sense, resulting in unnatural or illogical responses.
Bias and Ethical Concerns happen a lot because the models are pre-trained which may possibly base its searches on the training content & context that give room for biases present, leading to unethical or inappropriate outputs.
Ambiguity and Uncertainty in handling ambiguous queries or understanding complex language remains a challenge, affecting the reliability of responses.
Emotional Intelligence is missing in AI as it lacks the ability to genuinely understand and respond to human emotions, impacting the empathetic quality of interactions.
