Hi PMI Community! I’m Sarah Philbrick, and I work as a Product Manager at PMI with a focus on our learning offerings. As we go on this skill-building journey together, I’m excited to engage in meaningful conversations, explore trending topics, and learn from each other.
Reflecting on one such topic, GenAI and prompt engineering, I am interested to hear your perspective on commoditization vs. differentiation.

Currently, I work for a technology company where we use AI and other technologies to develop software to prevent money laundering and fraud. Even though the product is high-tech and has the latest developments on AI, the current trend in project management is that "people" still command project work. So, I think AI is best suited to empower PMs even more to add increasing higher value. Saving Changes...

The adoption of prompt engineering in project management is a faster instrument to do the work, it will help project managers accomplish heavy repetitive tasks in a matter of seconds, and it surely can be used to differentiate PMs and it should be added to the PM power skills. Saving Changes...
